Donald Trump proposed to Melania in 2004 at the Met Gala and the couple married one year later in a ceremony that cost at least $2 million. In 2015, Trump gave his wife a new ring in honor of their tenth anniversary, worth an estimated $5 million. Paris Hilton: $3 Million
The recently engaged socialite accepted a Jean Dousset, 10 to 20 carat, emerald-cut center stone with two shield-cut diamonds in a tension setting from Carter Reum. Around the diamond and at the base of the ring’s head are small pave diamonds giving it an extra shine according to Brides. The ring features 2021 trends with elongated cuts and three-stone styles.
Jennifer Lopez: $4 Million
The singer, actress, and dancer has received her fair share of engagement rings over the years, but the current rock on her finger from fiancé Alex Rodriguez is a 15 carat, emerald-cut diamond. The couple have said there is no rush to set a wedding date and the pandemic delayed any plans in the works. Amid rumors of a rocky relationship, the official word is that they have been working on their future, even though Lopez has recently been seen without the engagement ring.
Kim Kardashian: $4 Million
The famous reality star is in the midst of a divorce from Kanye West, but the relationship was full of love and surprises at the onset. West rented AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco for the proposal and placed a 15 carat, Lorraine Schwartz cushion-cut diamond on her finger in 2013. Unfortunately, the ring was stolen in a 2016 Paris robbery and Kardashian has been seen wearing a Lorraine Schwartz replica since.
Vanessa Bryant: $4 Million
The late basketball ledged Kobe Bryant proposed to Vanessa in 2003 with a Rafinity, 8 carat, purple diamond ring. According to HELLO!, since Bryant’s passing in 2020, the ring is reportedly worth $5.6 million. The ring has garnered a lot of awe over the years due to its rarity and unique color. Purple diamonds are reportedly among the rarest in the world and at the size and color of Vanessa’s many jewelers were surprised at its existence. The rare piece caused a colored stone craze among fans and those in the jewelry market for a time.
Beyonce: $5 Million
The 18 carats, flawless emerald-cut diamond is another from Lorraine Schwartz, given to Beyonce by husband Jay-Z in 2007, according to The Knot. Flawless diamonds are exceedingly rare and the top clarity grade for a diamond. The pair have been notoriously private about their relationship, but one of the world’s highest-valued diamonds on your finger is hard to miss.
Mariah Carey: $10 Million
Although the proposal never led to a wedding, the ring Carey sported on her finger in 2016 by finance James Packer was a whopping 35 carat diamond ring designed by Wilfred Rosado. She continued to wear the ring over a year after the breakup and reportedly sold the ring to a Los Angeles jeweler when their engagement fell through.
Jackie Onassis: $19 Million
Our favorite first lady accepted a proposal from her second husband, Aristotle Onassis with a 15-carat diamond by Harry Winston that would be valued at over $19 million today. One of the world’s richest and most famous men at the time, it’s no surprise he would ask for her hand with a Marquise cut Lesotho III diamond. After she passed away, the ring was sold at auction for $2.59 million.
Grace Kelly: $38 Million
According to Brides, when Kelly’s $4 million Cartier engagement ring is adjusted for inflation, the diamond would be worth as estimated $38 million. The actress wed Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956 with a 10.5 carat, emerald-cut diamond on her hand and today, the emerald-cut remains one of the most popular.
